The third episode of “WHAT IR STUDENTS SAY?” has been released!
This episode is talking about “South China Sea Dispute” which involves both island and maritime claims among several sovereign states within the Asia region (The People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, and Vietnam).
The tension has recently been increased with China’s rejection over international tribunal jurisdiction and its growing assertiveness in Indonesia’s resource-rich, Natuna Island. In response to this, Indonesian government has announced its plan on changing the name of South China Sea to Natuna Sea.
Curious on what IR students say about the issue so far?
